Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science came into my life many years ago, when I was greatly in need of comfort and health. Since that time I have witnessed many proofs of God's care for His children.

In gratitude for the many blessings received in Christian Science I give this testimony, hoping others may experience joy, peace, and love such as have come to me, and be benefited as I have been. I was told about Christian Science, and read some of the literature because I was sick mentally and physically, unhappy, discouraged, longing to be through with life's struggles.

About sixteen years ago I was in a deplorable condition mentally and physically. The fact that I am now strong and healthy I attribute solely to Christian Science.

I learned of Christian Science about eighteen years ago through dear friends, and after I had studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, thoroughly, I gradually learned to recognize that all error obtains first of all in mortal mind, and is then manifested on the body. I also learned that as soon as we are able to silence error with right thinking, and to replace it with good thoughts, error, or evil, is no longer there, and we are healed.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude for all the blessings I have experienced through the study of Christian Science. I was healed of sick headaches with which I had been troubled for many years.

Through gaining the right idea of substance, as taught in Christian Science, and holding steadfastly to that fact in spite of all evidence to the contrary, I have made most satisfactory demonstrations of supply. Even in the face of alarming situations the truth declared and clung to has not failed.

I came to Christian Science for physical healing. Thirteen years ago I was very weak and nervous, following an operation for stomach trouble.

Christian Science has been my only physician for more than twenty years. Many blessings have come to me during that time, but I shall relate a healing which occurred a few years ago, and which has proved to be one of the milestones of my life.

About three years ago I pictured myself as a man censured by God. For many months I had been gradually failing in health, and in June, 1928, I was obliged to stop work.

It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude that I write these few lines. I suffered for about twelve years from a difficulty which I was told came from the stomach.
