Testimonies of Healing
Attending Christian Science Sunday School has definitely been the most important part of my education. I have learned so many helpful truths that I am able to use when I need to correct my thought.
Having been raised in Christian Science, I have for many years been reading from the Bible and Science and Health. But Science and Health has recently become for me an even more indispensable way to unlock the deeper meanings of the Bible.
One Sunday morning as my husband and I were about to leave for church, we suddenly recalled that a very heavy downpour was to occur before our return home. We took a few extra moments to be sure all windows were closed.
While playing basketball with a group of friends one summer, I landed sideways on my ankle after jumping high into the air for a rebound. A loud pop accompanied the landing.
For over sixty-five years, since I was healed of peritonitis following a ruptured appendix (during which three doctors had predicted my death), I have relied entirely on Christian Science for healing. Many times an article in the Christian Science Sentinel or the Journal has helped me to find a needed healing.
In the early part of this century, my mother's eldest sister was diagnosed with incurable consumption. Another sister, living away, heard of the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs.
I am extremely grateful that my parents found Christian Science. It was a prediction of total blindness that caused my mother to search for healing.
I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School and had been healed through prayer as a child and young adult. Sad to say, during my middle years I drifted away from studying the Bible and Science and Health.
When I was a girl about twelve, I loved to swim and dive at a nearby lake. I would go to the top of the twenty-foot diving platform and dive off.
