IN this part of the antipodes, the wonderful teaching of Christian Science was first brought under notice in the year 1899, when a few students met at a private residence in one of the suburbs of Brisbane to read the Lesson-Sermon.

In the Sentinel of July 26, 1900, the following letter from the Brisbane field, addressed to Mrs. Eddy, is given:—

"The field of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, desire as an act of loving loyalty and gratitude to report themselves.
