About eleven years ago, I became interested in Christian Science as a religion. I was not satisfied with the church of which I was a member, as it gave me no practical proofs of the Bible promises. So when I met some persons who were Christian Scientists and saw that their religion seemed to be so usable and loving, I borrowed a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and started to read it. I am very grateful, however, that I w,as brought up in an orthodox church and had been taught to read the Bible; because I believed firmly in the Bible, but did not understand it.
When I commenced the study of Science and Health, it made so many things clear that I knew it must be the truth. I am glad to say that I have never had a moment's doubt on the subject, and have found that Christian Science has met my every need, when I have been willing to follow its leadings and give up my own material thoughts.
My son and I were both healed of influenza: in his case it developed into pneumonia. I have also been healed of frequent colds, and a tendency to have colds all winter. I have been healed of hemorrhoids; and my son was healed in a few days of a severe pain in his throat and the back of his ear, which caused high fever and pain in his head.
