I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life.
When I was but four years of age I was run over by a very heavy vehicle and picked up as dead. I was taken to my home and a physician summoned. This was done before my mother had an opportunity to realize what had occurred. She was quite fearful, being young in Christian Science, but she called a practitioner. The practitioner, realizing my mother's fear, asked her to think of nothing but the twenty-third Psalm. By this time the physician had arrived, and after he had examined me his report was that I could live but a very few minutes, as I had been crushed and had many internal injuries. He had been gone but a short time when I began to regain consciousness. One hour after this experience I was up and dressed, completely healed. I have had nothing but the best of health since that time.
Needless to say, I am most grateful for that experience, for it also paved the way for me to attend a Christian Science Sunday School. It was a joy for me to be able to join The Mother Church and a branch church, and to enter into the activities of the latter while still attending the Sunday school. This grounded me in the truth and prepared me for the great privilege of class instruction. In the words of our dear Leader (Unity of Good, p. 48): "To me God is All." "He heals all my ills, destroys my iniquities, deprives death of its sting, and robs the grave of its victory."— Los Angeles, California.
