A number of years ago, while I was employed as a stenographer in a real estate office, I became deaf in the left ear. This condition lasted for a period of one year. Needless to say, it was exceedingly inconvenient for me, since I had to receive all telephone calls.
One evening I attended a Christian Science lecture with my sister, and upon arriving at the auditorium we found all seats taken and nothing left but standing room in the balcony. I wondered how I could possibly hear, being so far away from the platform. However, during this wonderfully inspiring lecture I received such a spiritual uplifting that suddenly my hearing returned, and I heard every word.
Some months later, a member of my family, not a Scientist, visited us; and upon discussing the circumstance, he remarked to me, "You should have gone to an ear specialist, as I am afraid the deafness will return." Shortly afterwards, the same error of deafness did manifest itself. However, it lasted only a few months this time. Later on, the lecturer returned to our city, and upon attending the lecture I received my real healing, which has been permanent. This healing took place over fifteen years ago.
