About thirteen years ago, during a time of great stress, Christian Science was presented to me, but I did not become interested in it, because I thought its study required more time than I could give. The seed had been planted, however; and when about seven years ago I came to this state a stranger, in my loneliness I attended a Wednesday testimony meeting a few days after my arrival. When I left I hesitatingly purchased my first copy of the Sentinel. The next evening while reading, I was much impressed with a testimony which told how a mother had healed her child by telling her that God is Spirit, and that her room was filled with God's presence, and not to be afraid. While sitting pondering this declaration, I was healed of an organic trouble I had had for several years, and which had become very acute. The usual method of relief is removal of the organ. There has never been the slightest indication all these years of any return of the trouble, and for this, and many other proofs of God's love and care, I am very grateful. I give this testimony hoping it will do for others what another's testimony did for me.
I am deeply grateful for the understanding of God that Christian Science has brought me. Many times when supply has come to me from unexpected sources, I have been reminded of Mrs. Eddy's words (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies."
I am profoundly grateful to the practitioners who so willingly and kindly helped me along the way by explaining this great truth and encouraging me in its study. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the reinstatement of primitive Christianity.— Tacoma, Washington.
