I wish to give my testimony in gratitude for the many benefits I have received through Christian Science and the many testimonies I have read and enjoyed in the past twenty-three years.
In 1915 my husband was attending an Episcopal church and I one of Lutheran denomination, in which I had been a very active member. We decided we should unite our church interests and build a new foundation which would give us the pleasure of attending one church together.
We decided that Christian Science would be the answer to our desire for a new church home, and so we began the study. Our first step was to purchase the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I knew a little about the benefits of Christian Science, having watched closely the lives and works of two Christian Science practitioners whom I had met and talked with daily while away in Texas for two winters. My husband was also acquainted with the benefits of Christian Science, having known of it from early boyhood, his parents having asked for help for the family whenever it was needed.
