Twenty-five years ago I first witnessed a remarkable proof of the healing power of Christian Science. A near relative, an elderly lady who was living with us at the time, had been suffering for years from asthma and heart trouble. When the physicians finally admitted that she was beyond medical aid, she turned to Christian Science for help. She was healed of both the asthma and the heart trouble in a very few treatments. This manifestation of the presence of a divine law that heals the sick as well as the sinning, induced my mother, who for a number of years had been a semi-invalid with an organic ailment, to ask for Christian Science help. Her complete healing was almost instantaneous and was followed by other healings, including those of a severe case of typhoid fever and periodic attacks of headache.
My first impression of Christian Science was that it was merely another religion, but after witnessing the above healings, with every detail of which I was familiar, I came to realize that the divine healing power upon which Christ Jesus relied, exists today and is now available to all who turn without reservation to God for help. Since taking up the study of Christian Science, I have proved many times that a correct concept of God and of man in His image, does heal now as it did almost two thousand years ago.
During the World War I was healed of a severe carbuncle at the base of the brain. Medical authorities called it "a miraculous healing." On another occasion, during the war service, I was instantaneously healed of influenza. Other healings include those of headaches and an instantaneous one of a cold in its worst stage.
