The effects of the study of Christian Science and the application of its simple and appealing rules for right thinking and living prove that Mrs. Eddy was correct in defining Christian Science as "the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony" (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 1). One who has felt the harmonizing and purifying influence of God's law naturally has stirred within him a deep sense of gratitude to the great Giver of all good and a truer appreciation of the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science; and he desires to give proper and helpful expression to his gratitude. Among the legitimate ways provided for us to show our appreciation of our Leader's great work for humanity is the opportunity of becoming a member of The Mother Church and one of its branches, for thereby we may bring our thought more into line with Mrs. Eddy's demonstration of organized activity for the protection and promotion of the religion she founded.
For the benefit of grateful inquirers it is stated that the next admission of members to The Mother Church is November 3, 1939, and that properly filled out applications should reach the Clerk of The Mother Church, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, not later than October 16, 1939.
