THE healing efficacy of Christian Science...

From the October 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

THE healing efficacy of Christian Science has been forcibly proved in my experience.

While taking a course in professional education, I was afflicted with epilepsy, and, while I was able to finish my course of study, the erroneous condition appeared to grow upon me to such an extent that I was incapacitated for any work. At the time of the World War, I was rejected by both the army and the navy as unfit for service.

The kindly efforts of physicians and surgeons, including specialists, and chiropractors were of no avail in my extremity, nor was dieting, or a change of environment. But I kept trying, never quite giving up hope completely, though I had been told repeatedly that the disease was incurable, and that the most, if anything, that could be done would be to lessen the severity of the affliction.
