Words can never express the gratitude I feel for the joy, love, and happiness I have experienced since taking up the study of Christian Science, about nine years ago. Before that time, I did not think it possible to enjoy such peace and harmony.
Though I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, I experienced a healing shortly after I began to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Christian Science came to me in answer to a prayer. I had become dissatisfied with the teachings of the church of which I was then a member, so I prayed to be guided by God to the right way. Christian Science was the answer to my prayer.
I read a Journal and a Sentinel; then I purchased a copy of the textbook, which I read every moment I could spare. When I had read about halfway through the book I awoke one morning free from worry, fear, and an ailment which the doctor had pronounced incurable without an operation. I was also healed of constipation, from which I had suffered for over eighteen years. I felt as though I were in a new world.
