From the February 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My three sons, who have had no other teaching than Christian Science, have proved on many occasions the allness of God and the nothingness of error.

After a few weeks' study, we had an outstanding experience in our home. It was the healing of the results of an accident. One of the children had fallen over the step railings, a drop of about six feet. When I picked him up, his condition brought much fear to my husband and myself. The eldest boy, aged ten and a half years, who was getting ready for his second visit to the Christian Science Sunday School, told me to explain Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to his brother. I had been telling the child that God is Love, and that the seeming condition was only error, and had left it at that. The Sunday school pupil knew more. He said, "Tell him that error has no power." This clear declaration of the truth, and the child's receptivity and acknowledgment of the omnipotence and omnipresence of God, removed all fear, and the little one, who had been unable to eat anything, was instantaneously healed. He sat up, ate a good meal, and ran downstairs to play as usual. This experience was a lesson in humility for which I have since been very grateful.

Needless to say, after this proof of the value of the Sunday school, we were most anxious for the two younger boys, aged three and five years, to attend, but this was impossible at the time, because the trains did not run very conveniently on Sundays. I mentioned our desire to a practitioner, and outlined means by which the children might be driven to the Sunday school. The practitioner lovingly said: "Don't outline, dear. We know 'divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need'" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 494). In a few weeks' time an extra train was put on, and the following Sunday two more pupils were enrolled in the Sunday school.
