The testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals have so often helped me that I wish to add my testimony of praise to God for His infinite goodness to His children.
In the fall of 1916, while I was suffering from a complication of diseases which had been pronounced incurable by a number of physicians, Christian Science was presented to me by a dear friend. From the first reading of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I knew this was the truth for which I had been searching, and I accepted it gratefully.
The physician had advised a major operation, which might prolong my life perhaps a year, and told me I had not over three months to live unless I submitted to it. I turned completely to Christian Science, and called on a practitioner for help. Heart trouble was healed in a very short time, also complete exhaustion, which had necessitated giving up even the smallest household duties. An abdominal tumor was not healed so quickly. Six years passed before I was entirely free. I am deeply grateful that through this slow healing I was compelled to search for and find that God is Love, and cares tenderly for all His children.
