I am very grateful to our Father-Mother God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for sharing her great discovery with us.
I noticed a change in a friend, and when I asked some questions, she told me about Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. My husband gave me the money to purchase a copy. When I read the chapter on Prayer, I said to myself, "How true it is!" After reading the book a short time, I found I could read without glasses. I could not understand this, but my friend explained to me how the healing had occurred, and told me that one could be healed of anything. I then went to a practitioner, for I was suffering from hemorrhages. I had been through one operation, and was told I must undergo another; but I did not have to do so. The truth voiced by the practitioner healed me instantly, and I was free.
A disease from which I had suffered for sixteen years, asthma, and other complaints also left me. I have been sustained at the passing on of dear ones. After studying Christian Science a short time, I was called to the home of my mother, and found her unconscious from uremic poisoning. Two physicians had been called, who said that nothing could be done for her, and that she would not last half an hour. I called a practitioner, and through her work my mother was restored in one hour. I could never doubt Christian Science after seeing that healing. On two occasions I have been healed of broken bones by practitioners. At the passing on of my dear husband, I was helped and sustained by a practitioner and loving Christian Science friends. A short time ago I was healed of knotted limbs and feet by knowing the truth.
