The opportunity of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for thirteen years has been my blessed privilege; and the spiritual understanding which has unfolded to me as a result of this attendance has afforded me great protection in countless ways throughout the years.
By making my own a few of the simple statements of Truth taught in Sunday school, I received two wonderful proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science which stand out in my thought like beacon lights.
A severe attack of streptococcic throat, the result of much anxiety on my part concerning the health of a loved one, was completely healed within ten days' time. Through the very loving and patient work of a practitioner, I remained away from my regular duties at the office only two days, and I am glad that I was able to perform with complete accuracy an extremely tedious part of my work, later receiving high commendation from my employer. At one moment during this time I was in the depths of despair, and a few of my friends at the office tried to persuade me to resort to material means for help. Then the "still small voice" of Truth came to me, reminding me that man is the image and likeness of Life, Mind, Love. As I applied this spiritual fact to myself, and realized that God's work is done, I was instantaneously healed.
