I am very grateful to God to be able to testify to the healing power of Christian Science.
When Science was first presented to me I had just returned to my work after months of idleness due to a nervous breakdown. I had worked only a short time when I felt the old condition returning, and in great distress I turned to Christian Science, which a friend urged me to try.
After reading our beloved textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for about three weeks, I was able to lay aside glasses which I had worn for a painful condition of the eyes. An eye specialist had told me that I should have to wear glasses every moment of my waking hours, and that my eyes were not to be used except for necessary work. In the years since then I have used my eyes continually with perfect comfort, often studying and reading far into the night after a day's work.
