I have felt impelled for some time to give grateful testimony to the many healings I have experienced through the study and application of Christian Science. When I was a child, my mother and grandmother were students of this Science, and I had the opportunity of being reared with a knowledge of it. Through the work of my grandmother I was healed of St. Vitus's dance when I was only ten years old. I recall that the country physician who made the diagnosis said it could not be cured. But my mother called for my grandmother, who came to stay with us, and in ten days' time I was entirely free.
Six years ago, when it seemed as if I had lost everything, including home, husband, income, as well as my reason, earnest study and work in Christian Science were taken up. The patient, loving work of a consecrated practitioner brought to me the realization, through uplifted consciousness, that in the precious love of God we gain the real concept of home, the real understanding of a helpmeet and companion, the substance of supply through Spirit, and the ability to reflect the one Mind. All this was most wonderfully brought into my experience after the refining process. I now have a lovely home, have been reunited with my husband, who is kind, considerate, and loving, and share a most adequate income. Best of all, I have a much better understanding of that Mind which was in Christ Jesus.
I am most grateful for these experiences, because they have given me the blessing of a higher peace and understanding. I am indeed grateful for class instruction and for the association meetings, which are such feasts of inspiration; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for the privilege of serving on various committees in the church; and for all of the periodicals which are helping to enlighten the world. I am humbly grateful to our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and to our Leader, who was loving and consecrated enough to bring us this wonderful discovery, Christian Science.— San Diego, California.
