In mathematical computations wrong...

From the July 1950 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In mathematical computations wrong answers are the results, not of any flaw in the governing rule or law, but of ignorance of such rule or law or improper application of it. The right answer is always assured through correct knowledge and application of a rule or law governing any situation, be it mathematical or otherwise.

I have found this true with regard to my experience in the study of Christian Science. About six years ago four reputable physicians diagnosed my trouble as tuberculosis. While I was in the depths of despair following this pronouncement, a friend recommended that I try Christian Science treatment, with the assurance that I would be healed. The practitioner certainly must have had thorough knowledge of the truth regarding man made in the image and likeness of God; and she also must have known how to use that truth, for the healing was effected, and shortly thereafter I went to work at hard manual labor, keeping up with boys of high school and college age and doing it with less fatigue than they expressed.

I have also proved that the truth about God, man, and the universe as set forth by Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health is there for all who desire it and that when properly applied, it works. I know, for I have proved it beyond any doubt whatever. Whenever a human problem has seemed slow of solution it has been through misapprehension or misapplication of the governing law, not through any flaw in the truth as stated in Science and Health.
