The teaching of Christian Science was well known to me by name, but I first learned of its divine power in an internment camp. It is with great gratitude for the numberless blessings I have received with the aid of a practitioner that I should like to testify to a healing of particular significance which exemplifies the blessings of divine Truth more than anything else could.
For thirty years, with little respite, despite treatment at regular intervals in sanatoriums I had suffered from a chronic stomach complaint and from an ulcer on the duodenum. Neither allopathy nor homeopathy had been able to bring the truth to light. With wonderful logic the teachings of Christian Science destroyed one enemy after another, until harmony appeared in all its clarity.
I learned to see that in all-inclusive and ever-present divine Love there can be no sickness. This light of Truth dispelled all shadows, and the numerous difficulties which were forced to yield to the understanding of the power of divine Love are too numerous to mention. I did not take a drop of medicine. I can now go about my daily physical duties without the slightest trouble. Whatever I eat agrees with me, whereas formerly I could retain hardly any food. I have also learned to recognize that indulgence in tobacco is an error, and the joy of having overcome this appetite is greater than the pleasure it gave me. How great and numerous are the blessings we receive, if we consistently abide in Love.
