With sincere gratitude to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to Christian Science I am prompted to relate a healing that I experienced many years ago, when I was fourteen.
I developed what medical science called the gout, a most unusual disease for a young person. My kidneys were also affected, and in a short time I began to swell to twice my normal size. I was taken to a watering spa for the "'cure' and remained there for two weeks. On my return home the attending physician said that even though the swelling had gone down, the infection was by no means gone, and that I would have to return to this spa frequently for many years to come.
A playmate who attended a Christian Science Sunday School asked me if I would not like to attend Sunday School with her one Sunday. I gladly accepted and was delighted with the surroundings, the teaching, and the loving attention I found there. Through regular attendance I was completely and permanently healed.
