About five years ago I found I was no longer able to attend to my home and family duties. I had lost much weight and had little physical strength. I was suffering from severe pain, functional disorders, and misplaced organs, and I was taking medicine and injections to enrich my blood and to give me strength. After I had had a final checkup at a hospital and a complete rest for a month, I came home, only to find that I had to return to my bed.
Although I had no faith in Christian Science at the time, I turned to it because I did not know what else I could do. With a strength born of desperation I went to see a Christian Science practitioner. The talk with her that day was a great revelation to me. My health began to improve, my strength was regained, and within a few months I had gained twenty-five pounds in weight, and all the physical difficulties had disappeared.
Although I am grateful for these physical healings, my deepest gratitude is for the spiritual awakening I experienced at this time. I am indeed grateful to God for Mrs. Eddy, who gave us this wonderful healing agent, Christian Science.— Chicago, Illinois.
