My first experience with Christian Science was when our son was about twelve years old. He was very sick with a high fever, and upon examination the doctor said that a serious operation was necessary. I had heard of a wonderful healing which had come about through Christian Science; so my wife called a practitioner for help for the child and was assured that the operation would not be needed. The next morning the child insisted on getting up. He was up all day, and in the evening my wife took him to the doctor's office. The doctor was astonished, and upon examining him said that there was no doubt the condition had been there, but that it was not there now and the child was entirely well.
Although my healing was slow, through the help of a practitioner I was completely healed of Bright's disease when it was predicted that I could not live over six weeks.
