There is no death. Man lives and moves in Mind.
The truth of Spirit's continuity
Unravels all the tangled strings that bind
Our hearts to subtle webs of sympathy
And grief. Christ's comfort is a cloudless light
That floods our thoughts with Life—a healing balm
Of Gilead that turns the starless night
Of death into a shining hour of calm.
Life knows no sadness, separation, pain,
Or grim fatality. Fate has no force
That can eclipse eternal Mind, or chain
The perfect man to sorrow and remorse.
Mortality cannot control man's breath;
God is the only Life. There is no death.
