"ASK ME OF THINGS TO COME"

From the October 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In Isaiah we read (45:11), "Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me." Our obedience to this divine command holds the key to the understanding of man and therefore to the truth of being.

Increasing ability to demonstrate the healing power of Christian Science depends upon the student's unqualified acceptance of its basic teaching that God, Spirit, is All; hence He includes and motivates all. Thus it becomes plain that He is and can be the only absolute authority concerning His creation, including His idea, man.

The oneness of God as divine Mind reveals Him as the one infinite intelligence, whose ideas must of necessity reflect His pure wisdom, perfect order, and harmony. In the one eternal and wholly good Mind, there can be no conflict, no struggle, since these would indicate an opposing mind or power.
