I cannot draw a circle
Around my little sphere
And say, "An evil far away
Cannot affect me here."
Effect of evil, near or far,
Lies in acceptance of it.
My consciousness supports it
Unless I rise above it
And sense a sphere so infinitely
Free of earthly taint
(Where universal love of good
Dispels all human plaint)
