In the Bible we read (Ex. 23:20), "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." As I review my experience since becoming acquainted with Christian Science eight years ago, I thankfully acknowledge God's unfailing guidance and support every step of the way.
I became interested in Christian Science at the time of my mother's last illness. When she passed on, I found myself alone with a large house in a changing neighborhood and with very little income. There seemed to be many difficulties in finding a happy solution of my problems. I also felt unequal to the effort of furthering a business career.
However, through the encouragement of a practitioner who had befriended me in this trying period, I had hope in Christian Science; so I started attending services in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, regularly. In due time I became a member of both The Mother Church and a branch church and also had class instruction. I am very grateful for having been led to take these steps.
