These words of Jesus (Matt. 10:8), "Freely ye have received, freely give," made me realize that I have received many blessings for which I have not expressed my gratitude.
Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 3): "Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have, and thus be fitted to receive more." I wish to express my very deep gratitude for the numerous healing experiences and the change of thought that the study of Christian Science has brought into my life.
The first knowledge of Christian Science came to our family through the healing of a serious eye trouble of my sister, who was a schoolteacher. Following the oculist's pronouncement that he could do nothing more for her and that eventually she would lose her eyesight, the future looked hopeless to her.
