About twenty years ago, a skin disorder for which three doctors could offer no cure developed on my hands and feet. A friend told me of Christian Science, and a Christian Science practitioner began to treat me through prayer. She told me that it would help me in gaining my healing if I would study the Bible Lessons, outlined in the Quarterly, and attend services in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist.
Although I had been unable to wear shoes with any comfort for some time, the following Sunday I did attend church and the next Sunday also. After two weeks, the condition looked no different, and my family, who, like me, had known nothing of Christian Science, thought that it had now been given an adequate trial and that since there was no improvement, I ought to return to the doctor again.
Upon making an examination, the doctor was amazed to find that new skin had formed and that the condition was healed. I returned to the practitioner with the news, and within a week all evidence of the disorder disappeared.
