I should like to express my gratitude to Christian Science for all the wonderful help it has been to me. From earliest childhood I was always encouraged to turn to God for help in solving any problem, and I can truly say that it has never failed.
At one time I was troubled with an unreasoning fear of the dark. I had made arrangements to spend some time in another country. Upon arrival in this country I rented a small flat on the fourth floor of an old house.
I was most dismayed after reaching home one night to discover that there was no lighting in the hallways of this building and that it was necessary for me to climb the stairs to my flat in absolute blackness. For a moment I was so nervous that I could hardly move; so I prayed very earnestly.
