I am indeed grateful for Christian Science and for all that it has done for me and my family. It has opened up my life in the most wonderful way, a way that I could never have planned or outlined for myself.
I have had many healings in Christian Science of physical difficulties and other discords. I am especially grateful for a healing of colitis I had some years ago while living in Kenya. I was away on holiday down at the coast when I became ill. At the time I was staying with friends who were not Christian Scientists; and since they were very fearful, they called a doctor. The condition was diagnosed as colitis.
As I was in a rather isolated situation, and it wasn't easy to know how to contact a Christian Scientist for help, I just requested that I be taken back the next day to Nairobi. My friends very kindly agreed to this, and I arrived back in the early evening. They were anxious about me, but I assured them that I would be perfectly all right. I managed to get into my car, although suffering rather severe pain, and drove to a friend who is an earnest student of Christian Science and who I knew would help me.
