A Tribute to Mrs. Eddy

From the January 1967 issue of The Christian Science Journal


The following resolution was passed by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Concord, New Hampshire:

Whereas, 1966 is the one-hundredth anniversary of the discovery of Christian Science, and

Whereas, Mary Baker Eddy, Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, was from 1889 to 1908 a resident of the City of Concord, and

Whereas, Mary Baker Eddy, while a citizen of Concord, contributed liberally to the civic and material betterment of the community and has helped to spread the name of Concord far beyond its boundaries,

Therefore, the City of Concord resolves as follows: That this anniversary be recognized in honor of its distinguished citizen so that her good deeds among us may be remembered and commemorated.
