A Zeal "according to knowledge"

From the January 1967 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Many of us in our first exuberant joy on coming into Christian Science have commendably desired to share its glorious truths with others, but because of a zeal "not according to knowledge,"
Rom. 10:2; we have in the process suffered some unfavorable reaction and possibly a temporary loss of our own spiritual uplift and joy.

What is the reason for such unfavorable reaction? Is it not because a zeal "not according to knowledge" stems from the erring human will, involving the generally accepted material theory that action and reaction are equal and opposite? Of this counterfeit of God's will Jesus said, "He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."
John 10:1; And Mrs. Eddy writes: "'The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force!' said Jesus. Therefore are its spiritual gates not captured, nor its golden streets invaded."
Retrospection and Introspection, p. 79;

What, then, is the true knowledge on which our zeal may be safely based? It is that God, Spirit, Mind, Principle, is the only cause and creator. Because God is All-in-all, there is in reality no other will but His, and this will includes all law, power, intelligence, activity, increase, extension, and fulfillment. Only that which operates according to divine Principle produces any real or beneficial effect, and its resultant harmony cannot be reversed.
