Truth Unchanging

From the February 1967 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Truth never changes. Whatever can be changed is never Truth. Whatever appears to be true in one age or instance but proves false in another was never Truth. Moreover, Truth is all that is unchanging.

What does change? Everything which is material. Matter fluctuates, assumes new forms, improves or fails. Assumptions, theories, all human beliefs based on the evidence of the physical senses, change continuously, sometimes slowly, sometimes rapidly. None of these changes affect absolute Truth. Christian Science teaches that the one unchanging Truth is God, who is Mind, Life, Love, Soul, Spirit, and Principle.

Absolute Truth was not established by any human institution or standard. Mankind does not determine Truth's power or domain. It exists in and of itself. Mortals can know that domain only through spiritual revelation, as thought ascends above the material.
