It is my heart's desire to speak of an experience that occurred in the recent past. Since taking up the study of Christian Science with increased devotion, I have witnessed many beautiful evidences of God's healing power in cases of sickness, manifestations of supply, and in the removal of other constraints. I have come to understand that each problem, no matter how obstinate or chronic it seems to be, is nevertheless in a state of flux. If something is really a mental illusion, it is not constant, not permanent.
May I here speak with great gratitude of an experience that illustrates this fact, in the hope that it will encourage others who are perhaps in a similar situation and who need to persevere in their efforts.
Owing to the division of our country, our family was forced to live separately. From August, 1961, it seemed this separation would continue forever. My twenty year old son and I were living in isolation from the rest of the family. We had much to do to keep from despairing.
