Every problem is some phase of mesmeric error, a dream experience; and every healing is an awakening to the facts of being. One does not change reality, but he comes to understand it and to harmonize with it. Christian Science treatment is the method of letting in the light of Truth so that we may reflect the nature and presence of God, good, and be released from fear of and the experience of evil.
Christian Science is not so much a remedy for human exigencies as it is a revelation of divine reality. When we understand something of the perfect nature of divine Mind, or the one originating power, we shall see that creation is spiritual and harmonious and that man as the effect of this one creative power is not a creature of chance and change but the expression of divine Principle. We begin to see something of the Science of being and know the assurance of the care and love of God.
The remedy for every ill is spiritual understanding. And this understanding is the result of the coming of Christ, the true idea of God The coming of Christ has often been illustrated by the appearing of light. The disciple John spoke of this when he said, "The light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." And, "As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." John 1:5, 12;
