In this second century of Christian Science the call has come for increased support of our church to aid in achieving the goal of universal acquaintance with and acceptance of the Science of Christ. As a result of increasing ease of travel and communications we have become neighbors to all people everywhere. Christ Jesus' command "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15; is, therefore, more applicable and more imperative now than ever before.
In contemplating the magnitude of this worldwide mission one might be tempted to feel insignificant, to say to himself, "What can be accomplished by just one individual?" We must not be blinded by the seeming immensity of the undertaking but must see clearly that the desired goal will be realized only through individual demonstration, and then set about industriously to accomplish it with joy and consecration!
One might ask, "What is the aim of a Christian Scientist?" One simple answer might be: "A Christian Scientist's aim is to further the Cause of Christian Science." Then might come the question, "Well, what is this Cause?" And we would be correct in responding, "The Cause of Christian Science is the result of the activity of Truth in the consciousness of Christian Scientists."
