Consideration of what Christian Science teaches about the real, mental nature of form and substance is helpful in real estate matters. At first, this spiritual sense of substance may not seem applicable to human problems involving the buying, selling, renting, improving, and holding of real estate. But when comprehended and practiced, it lifts our thought to a recognition of true, spiritual, God-given possessions. This not only elevates us in character and spiritual understanding but also brings about better human conditions.
The Bible opens with this statement: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."Gen. 1:1; Because God is Spirit, as the Bible also tells us, all creation must be spiritual; infinite Spirit, or good, could not express itself through finite, imperfect matter.
In Science and Health Mary Baker Eddy writes: "The creative Principle— Life, Truth, and Love—is God. The universe reflects God. There is but one creator and one creation. This creation consists of the unfolding of spiritual ideas and their identities, which are embraced in the infinite Mind and forever reflected." Science and Health, p. 502, 503;
