A Bible reference in one of the weekly Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly registered deeply in my heart. It is from Luke (7:16). After Christ Jesus resurrected the son of the widow of Nain, those that followed him "glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people."
We feel the same wonderful presence— God with us—when we are healed in Christian Science of some physical difficulty.
I have never doubted that this Science heals entirely and quickly. About seventeen years ago I had a convincing proof that it does. At that time I was healed of a painful condition of erysipelas. I turned to a Christian Science practitioner for help. She told me, with love and conviction, that in reality disease is nothing, and that it is powerless because error has no place in the kingdom of God.
