Through the years that I have been studying Christian Science I have been very grateful for abundant and continuing unfoldment of good. It has been inspiring to hear the testimonies of others who expressed gratitude for the trial of their faith and the overcoming of troubles as evidences of God's care in their lives.
I too can testify to the healing power of divine Mind. My coming through a recent crisis was proof to me of the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 427) that "man's individual being can no more die nor disappear in unconsciousness than can Soul, for both are immortal."
While walking across a road during heavy traffic, I was struck by an automobile. The moment before, I had no sense of fear. Several hours later, when I regained consciousness, I was in a hospital emergency room, and the nurse informed me that they were in touch with the Christian Science practitioner of my choice, who had told them what to do and would soon arrive at the hospital. I was happy to know this and wondered how they knew about the practitioner. Later, when I asked the practitioner about this, I learned that while unconscious I had told the nurse I was a Christian Scientist and wanted no medication. This indicates to me that despite apparent unconsciousness, individual being remains perfect and continues to reflect God.
