Mrs. Eddy admonishes us in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 227): "Citizens of the world, accept the 'glorious liberty of the children of God,' and be free! This is your divine right."
It is for the deeper understanding of freedom which the study of Christian Science gives and for the measure of freedom I myself have gained on this basis that I now wish to express gratitude, in the hope that my experiences can help a fellowman.
I had studied Christian Science for several years, had had some physical healings, was faithfully studying the Lesson-Sermons, and was utterly convinced of the truth of this Science; however, I did not know how to defend myself against evil suggestions but fell into a state of unreasonable, intense fear, shut within myself as by insurmountable mountains of evil beliefs.
