He lived!
Brought forth in cold
and dark, he made it
warm. No place he
ever went stayed dark.
The light was part
and parcel of his being.
He lived!
All those who saw him
beheld in him the Christ—
they saw, or felt, or some way
understood he came from
God—to every one of us.
He lived!
His feet trod what
we know as solid ground
but he could walk
upon the water, too.
He stilled the storms—
of nature, or of heart;
he freed the eyes
too blind to see;
he cleansed the lepers—
cleansed the sinners, too;
He raised, and fed us,
taught us, healed us,
left us—for a while,
promised Life eternal—
then showed us it is true!
He lived!
