Don't be lured from Wednesday testimony meetings!

From the March 1981 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It's surprising when you think about it.

Yes, Wednesday evening testimony meetings are times for rejoicing, for telling how Truth's power has helped and healed us, to share and to learn from others the insights that have been gained as a result of practicing Christian Science. But despite these benefits, sometimes things come up that would keep us away. Why?

Of course the very nature of the human mind is to resist whatever promotes our growth Spiritward. "In a world of sin and sensuality hastening to a greater development of power," writes Mrs. Eddy, "it is wise earnestly to consider whether it is the human mind or the divine Mind which is influencing one."Science and Health, pp. 82-83.
