"Facing the winds"

From the March 1981 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A workable knowledge of God is urgently needed when one is facing a storm of fear or pain.

Speaking of God, the Bible states: "For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall."Isa. 25:4. Christian Science shows how to make these words practical, how to turn to God with the assurance of experiencing—in healing—proof of His strength.

Ready to go to church one Sunday morning, I decided to check a shed for a flowerpot I would need later. Picking up a pot that wasps had chosen for a nest, I was stung many times.
