Freeing unexpressed gratitude

From the August 1981 issue of The Christian Science Journal

At every Wednesday evening meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist, the congregation is given the opportunity to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. Some respond spontaneously. Others seem unable to articulate their deep gratitude.

Perhaps some come fully intending to say "Thank you, God," but they end up adopting a role like this fellow's: ". . . whenever he thought it was time to begin,/He couldn't because of the state he was in."A. A. Milne, Now We Are Six (New York: E. P. Dutton, 1961), p. 38.

But this version mistakes man's capacities. Perfect Mind, God, created His man to manifest divine freedom.
