Church Bulletin Board

From the October 1989 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Whether at a shopping mall, on a college campus, or in the foyer of a church, a bulletin board is a great place for people to share information. You can learn a lot about an active community from reading local bulletin boards. We hope you'll enjoy this bulletin board and feel encouraged to join in and share experiences.

This was the headline in one morning newspaper, telling of a gas leak in a city main that resulted in a fierce explosion. News of the explosion and total destruction of our one-hundred-year-old brick building rapidly went far and wide.

One thing that seemed to puzzle some people outside the church membership was the fact that we were not distraught and overcome by this. But we have known from the first that we could not lose our real Church. In fact, we never even missed a service.
