Approximately two years ago I was working for a major airline carrier in Los Angeles. I worked as a lead rampman and performed the duties of loading and unloading aircraft cargo. One particular night it was extremely busy. All flights were full of passengers and baggage. I was loading some boxes into a baggage cart when suddenly I heard and felt something inside me rip. The pain was severe, and I buckled.
The airline I worked for required that I have a medical examination. The doctor who examined me said that I had sustained a severe groin pull and curvature of the lower back. Immediately I silently responded to myself, "There's no pulling away from God's goodness and love." He took X-rays, and the airline told me they were sending me to company doctors in Miami, Florida.
The first company doctor at the airline base in Miami told me he believed I would not be able to walk normally again. He told me that multiple operations were needed.
