Resistance to Truth is not natural

From the July 1989 issue of The Christian Science Journal

No matter how black the night, when it comes time for sunrise there is dawn. Even a moonless sky over a desolate wilderness will yield to the appearing of the daystar. Darkness does not resist the light but gives way to it. We can all agree to this.

So it is with intellectual light. As the comprehension of any fact appears to the human mind, ignorance gives way to knowledge. This is natural.

With spiritual light this is also true. As the light dawns, the recognition of the truth of God and of His creation eliminates the darkness of worldly-minded materialism.
