From the May 1990 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Occasionally, Reading Room attendants are asked whether articles can be photocopied from The Christian Science Monitor or the religious periodicals. Branch church executive boards may want to determine whether a church's photocopy machine or the bound volumes can be used for this purpose. It may be helpful to know in this regard that there is a longstanding policy allowing individuals to photocopy copyrighted materials under the following guidelines:
1. A copy may be made for one's personal use.
2. A copy may be made by a practitioner for a patient.
3. Copies may be made for internal church use by members and committees.

The Copyright/Trademark Administrator of The Christian Science Publishing Society is always available to answer any questions. You can call between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Eastern time on our WATS line 1-800-225-7090, ext. 2026, or on our direct-dial line (617) 450-2026.

Recently there have been a few inquiries from church members outside Boston who evidently haven't called The Mother Church for several years. They've wondered why, when they called (617) 262-2300, they got a telephone company recording saying that number has been disconnected.
