From the July 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

• A young man graduated from college a month ago. Now, hardly a week goes by without someone asking him what he plans to do with the rest of his life. He's not sure.

• An entrepreneur in Silicon Valley owns a company worth about $50 million, and yet she's unhappy. Despite her success, she still doesn't feel a deep and lasting sense of fulfillment.

• A couple of years into retirement and this man still hasn't found it to be the bright time in his life he had hoped for. He continues to look for something meaningful to fill his days.
